What We Do
Provide a commercially viable solution with our revolutionary carbon negative system.
What We Do
VACCARS – Vehicle Assist Carbon Capture Air Refresh System is a Direct Air Capture (DAC) system. VACCARS is a holistic approach, using the integration of a clean energy source, such as solar with DAC filter columns and the use of a “hail ride” or a station to station transport system using compressed air engined vehicles. All the technology already exists, it just needs to be adapted.
One of the biggest drawbacks of compressed air engined vehicles is range, typically around 100km. This makes them a hard sell to the private market, however for a “hail ride” or station to station, this is not a problem as the client/passenger just needs to get from A to B in a convenient way and refilling is not their problem.
Passengers and clients pay for this transport, which in turn pays back for the construction and funds the operation of the system. This makes VACCARS financially viable and scalable to a point of making a difference to air quality and the reduction of green house gases.
The filter column is a central feature of the system as it allows different filter mediums to be used and different methods, including automatic washing for removal of CO2. The filter column also contains different types of equipment for the operation of the system such as compressors and pumps. The filter columns also act as a support for solar and wind power systems.
A VACCARS Roadway is one configuration that can be dedicated or shared with regular traffic. The VACCARS Roadway (Fig 2 & 3) show solar panels above the road, however they can be placed just as easily above the sidewalk. This format will have Filter Station pillars all the way along it, supporting solar panels that will power the compressors that create airflow through the filter column..
The cleaned air is then stored in compression tanks and when required this compressed air is transferred into the storage tank of the vehicles.
These compressed air engined vehicles on this dedicated road system will be able to ‘fuel up’ in any of the filter stations along its route as required.
As we can add as many solar panels, electric compressors and storage tanks as required the system can be designed and scaled to suit commuter traffic in the designated target area. The system can also be split, for example, the solar panels could be placed above the side walk, leaving the space above the roadway free.
A 20km system could have 120,000m² of solar panels and 8,000 filter columns.
As the system also produces power, then any excess power could be used to feed the power grid, recharging electric powered cars or run more filter systems.
This type of transport system not only can produce an income it also cleans our air, especially if used it in more urban areas where filtering is most important.
It cannot take the place of plants, trees and oceans, but each filter column is hundreds of times more efficient than a tree.
Showing One Style of Roadway Layout
The VACCARS Roadway provides the infrastructure for the compressed air power source for the air engine vehicles.
It is essentially a self-powered Carbon/Pollutant removal system.
Renewable Energy Roof
The Filter Columns form the roof support. Renewable energy (solar panels and/or wind turbines) will be installed on top of the roof and provide power for the compressors that are housed within the Filter Columns.
Carbon Removal Filter
The Filter Columns clean the ambient air and utilises the clean compressed air to be the power/fuel supply for the VACCARS Vehicles.
There are 2 types of Filter Columns that can be configured to a cities needs. The second can be used to clear pollutants.
Compressors
Powered by the renewable energy supply, each Filter Column will house a compressor within it.
The power will be spread to the Filter Column that require the compressed air using software and sensors that will gauge which part of the system requires the power supply and activate accordingly.
Holding Tanks
There will be 2 types of holding tanks require:
The clean compressed air storage tanks and filled via the Filter Columns and located within the side boundary.
The CO2 holding tanks will be less frequent and placed approx every 500m (or as required)
Community
VACCARS is a platform in a similar way to a computer motherboard. A motherboard to build upon to make Green House Gas and Pollutant removal from our atmosphere more efficient in a substainable way.
To encourage others to design their technology to fit within VACCARS, we have to create a community spirit along with partnerships and rewards, this will foster great ideas to help drive VACCARS forward to become the market leader.
Amazing ideas can come from anywhere, universities, large coperations, small firms, from someone working in their parents garage, someone sitting under an apple tree or even someone working in a patent office, you never know where the idea will come from.
As Technology improves so will VACCARS
